EDUCATION Education is critical to America’s Economic future. We support investing in education from beginning to end that will provide a top-notch education from Pre-K through Higher Ed that produces a quality workforce, improves the quality of lives, and drives economic development.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Quality education, competitive and attractive infrastructure, and a strong quality of life supported by community collaboration and partnerships are imperative to maintain Northwest Louisiana’s growth. We advocate for legislation that will impact the region’s efforts to attract quality business, industry and jobs. Louisiana officials at the state and local level need to have economic development tools such as incentives that are adaptable enough to have an impact on corporate location and expansion decisions.

TAXES The Bossier Chamber supports a simplified tax structure with the expectation that changes to that structure will continue to attract business and encourage economic development in our state. A smart, streamlined tax system would allocate taxpayer dollars more effectively and unleash the power of American businesses to create jobs.

DOMESTIC ENERGY RESOURCES With appropriate legislation that maximizes America’s grouping domestic energy resources, our country is poised to become a global energy powerhouse. Legislation is needed to ensure Louisiana plays a key role in expanding oil and natural gas production on and offshore, ensuring the availability of our vast coal resources, expanding the use of nuclear energy, and fostering even greater development of conventional oil and natural gas in the many emerging field across the country.
