On Tuesday, February 11, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce honored top business and community leaders at the 77th Annual Gala. The event kicked off with a cocktail hour prior to the program and hosted hundreds of business professionals at Horseshoe Casino for their largest networking event, presented by Barksdale Federal Credit Union.
The Chamber took time to celebrate the successes of the previous year and shared plans for the year ahead. Outgoing Chairman of the Board Jonathan Reynolds, Carter Credit Union, passed the reins to incoming Chairman of the Board Carl Thibodeaux, Community Bank of Louisiana. Incoming board members were recognized and two new awards were presented.
Partner of the Year was awarded to the Bossier Parish Police Jury for their cooperation as we extended our work to the smaller municipalities of Bossier Parish this year.
Community Champion was awarded to Carlotta Askew-Brown of the Bossier City/Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission for her tireless work helping our community grow in innovative ways.
The coveted awards of Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year, presented by our award sponsor Willis-Knighton Health System, were also announced.
Kevin Nolten was named the 2024 Top Business Person of the Year for his commitment to positioning Northwest Louisiana as a hub for innovation and economic development with the Cyber Innovation Center.
Southern Home Builders was named Bossier Chamber’s 2024 Small Business of the Year for their contributions to residential development in Shreveport-Bossier for 30 years.
General Dynamics Information Technology was named Bossier Chamber’s 2024 Business of the Year for generating $267M in economic impact for the Bossier/Shreveport area.
