Bossier Chamber of Commerce hosts successful Northwest Louisiana Career and Job Fair with partners

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce hosted its premier hiring event with the City of Bossier and Louisiana Workforce Commission on Wednesday, March 5 at the Bossier Civic Center. The job fair had an impressive turnout with over 160 job seekers, including 25 veterans. There were over 40 employers present who conducted on-the-spot interviews and hiring opportunities.
Additionally, Job Readiness: A Prelude to Career Success was held on Tuesday, March 4 at the Bossier Civic Center. This event provided job seekers with resources to enhance their professional journey. Job seekers had the opportunity to update their resumes, receive interview techniques, refine their attire choices with Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier and even received complimentary haircuts courtesy of VH Barber and Styling Academy.
"Ensuring that our veterans, military spouses and transitioning military members have employment in this community is a big priority of the Bossier Chamber,” said Lisa Johnson, President/CEO of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. "This year’s job fair was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without our many amazing sponsors, partners and participants."
In addition to the Chamber, the City of Bossier City and the Louisiana Workforce Commission, other key partners included Louisiana Work for Warriors, Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier, VH Barber and Styling Academy, Goodwill Industries, The Coordinating and Development Corporation, City of Shreveport, KSLA, 2d Bomb Wing, Airman and Family Readiness Center, Department of Veterans Affairs, the Greater Shreveport Chamber, CHRISTUS Health, and Willis Knighton Health.
