The Bossier Youth Leadership program is a program for select high school juniors in Bossier Parish. Applications are distributed to the Bossier Parish high school counselors in April. The students are selected every May. The program consists of nine sessions that help to develop each student's leadership abilities.
The Bossier Parish School Board officially endorses the BYL program. The Bossie r Chamber of Commerce, as well as various local colleges, and businesses sponsor the program.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce collaborates with the Bossier Parish School Board, as well as local sponsors to show our support from the Business Community to the new Bossier Parish educational professionals. During their orientation week, new teachers are treated to lunch at the Barksdale Club at Barksdale Air Force Base.
Chamber members also have the benefit of providing items for the teacher "goodie bags" as well as door prizes.
