The Bossier Chamber of Commerce  offers Small Business Resource Center to help connect new and existing entrepreneurs to the resources in our community that can assist them with questions, forms, how to's and the like. The Small Business Resource Center is located in the Bossier Chamber office at 710 Benton Road is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Established chamber member businesses/entrepreneurs are encourage to get involved by following this link.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center Network strives to be the premier resource for individuals who want to start a business or improve their present business and/or business skills. Their resources include, but are not limited to:

• one-on-one counseling
• tailored assistance to meet individual needs
• business and marketing planning
• market research
• record keeping aids

As we all know we had to start somewhere, the Bossier Chamber is looking for materials to place in the Small Business Resource Center. The mission/purpose is to help startup companies and small businesses find answers to the frequency asked questions or direct them to the resources in our Community that can help them. As a business that has gone through the steps to start your company, you may be aware of the frustrations that many new business owners are facing. 

We are asking our members to help out if you can by:

1. What are the questions you had / have?  This will help us tremendously to kick off this project.  We would like to list the frequently asked questions with the associated answers in both a brochure and on our website.
2. Does your business or organization offer services or help to these startup or small businesses.  If so, what do you offer and how can they contact you?  Again, we would like to connect your business to these individuals.
3. Can you assist with specific Small Business Banking/Insurance Questions 
4. Would your company like to become a mentor?

 How the Bossier Chamber Will Accomplish the Small Business Development Center Goal:

• Include the frequently asked questions on our website, as well as in a brochure. 
• Connect the start up or small business with the resources in our community that can help them.
• With your assistance, quickly find the questions that most business ask when they are in the startup stage or while they are a small business.  Such questions will be:  How to create a Business Plan.  Where to go to get a small business loan.  What insurance is necessary for businesses?  Etc.
