The Bossier Chamber of Commerce collaborates with several local and statewide organizations to help local businesses
grow and improve. The Chamber works with the BPCC Workforce Development center to offer
members business improvement ideas. According to the BPCC web site, this program tries:
- To provide basic instruction and adequate pre-employment training for students preparing for positions in industry and business requiring high degrees of skill and technical knowledge,
- To provide students majoring in other divisions of the College the opportunity to supplement their work as the need may arise.
- To assist students in selecting careers in order to live fuller lives and better assume the responsibilities of American citizenship.
- To provide instruction that will extend or improve the existing occupational competence of employed persons or those seeking retraining.
The Small Business Training program, another program sponsored by the
Louisiana Department of Labor, also offers businesses help in training their workers and themselves.
The Chamber also offers short training sessions called Business Builders Seminars. These seminars are a collaboration of the Chamber and
local businesses or service organizations.
